  • Those Highlighters with tabs make stage managers moan with delight.

  • Only 700ish pages of printed material? Surely you can heft more than that....

And do you always carry pepper spray?

  • A. Highlters/pens with tabs are awesome...

    B. I actually wished that I had printed out the entire CERCLA act, which would have brought the page total up around 1000.

    C. Yes, I nearly always carry a can of pepper spray. I would point out that I've used it once and been happy to have it around a couple of other times.

  • What I took to Civ Pro:

1 canned brief book (moral support)

    1 index to my notes
    1 long sheet
    1 complete outline
1 set of topical prewritten answers
1 sheet listing the rules by number

    1 computer
    1 external floppy drive
    1 backup disk

    4 #2 retractable pencils

    1 kleenex
    1 student ID
3 packages of fruitsnacks (munched on 1)
    2 pairs of glasses
1 dry pair of socks (when it rains in TX, it rains)

1 bottle of water (in my complementary Westlaw waterbottle)
1 pair of shorts (that have been living in my backpack for the past 3 months)
    5 sheets of scratch paper
1 pair of lucky pants (the ones w/ the cow print, if ever there was a time for the lucky pants, the civ pro final is that time)
    1 toothpick

  • I don't know how exams are going. I'll let you know in Feb. I think they're going okay. It's not like I'm looking at them going Oh shit, was I ever even in class. But you never know. They're kinda fun in a sick & twisted kind of way. How are yours going?

  • Mine are going OK, though they are definitely starting to drag out too long. (my last in class exam is today, the 16th, but I have a paper due the 21st).

I know what you mean by fun in a twisted way...but I only have that for the first one or two, after a week and half, I'm too tired of it to enjoy that part anymore. Up to a point, the whole experence has started to loose its immediate emotional power, sort of a tolerance effect I suppose.

Likewise, I'll tell you in Feb. how they went.
